STATEMENT-
I work for much of the year in Southern Italy surrounded by a wealth of
Greco-Roman, Medieval and Renaissance art. This has strongly influenced the
subject matter and techniques of my work.
Saints and sinners, heroines and villains enacting great classical and
religious dramas that can be seen in every city and village church provide
endless themes for contemporary re-invention.
I like to regard my work as narrative painting but the concentration of
information often produces a final effect of abstraction.
Although primarily a painter I also work with fresco, mosaic and relief
modelling. These works are usually more naturalistically figurative and done
to commission.

I have exhibited in Italy, France, Norway, U.S.A, Australia and Britain and
have work in public, corporate and private collections here and abroad.
