I tend to work in series in both 2D and 3D following groups of ideas in sequence. Movement and change are central concerns both within and between images, and many images are metaphors for various mental and emotional states. I frequently use found objects or materials that already have some form of history.
For several years I worked mainly on commission in the public art sector, where I am known for e.g. my ‘Bombus Bee’ Sculpture at Eden Project and for annual pyrotechnical Fire Sculptures on Bodmin Moor. Since 2005 however I have begun working more on a gallery scale using both painting and sculpture.
