Feargal Shiels
Born in Dublin, Ireland, and now living near Penzance, Feargal Shiels graduated in June 2015 from the BA (Hons) Drawing course at Falmouth University. In 2019 he became a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists.
Feargal’s work has been featured in group shows at the Penwith Society of Arts, the St Ives Society of Artists, the RKB Gallery (Southwark, London), Gallery Tresco and Porthleven’s Slipway Studio. He has had three solo exhibitions at the Circa 21 Gallery in Penzance, Cornwall – LITTORAL – Coastal Explorations on Paper (May 2015), BOSCUS (December 2015) and RUS (October 2016) – and one, CRUX (April 2017) at St Mary’s Church, also in Penzance.
Feargal is currently focusing on mixed media works on paper inspired by contemplative transcription as well as by the West Cornwall landscape.
